Mahindra Singh Dhoni, a former captain of the Indian cricket team, is recognised as one of the game's best emotional and nerve-controlling leaders.
There will always be a possibility when Dhoni is upset with someone or the circumstance, regardless of how terrible things are for the team—there is less time and more running, a fielder has lost the catch, someone has forced them to run out.
Cricketer Harbhajan Singh, a former member of the Indian cricket team, recently highlighted Dhoni's tearful episode during the team meal for the IPL club Chennai Super Kings. Other players also get emotional on the pitch, but they don't always display the same level of intensity as Dhoni does.
Tuesday, Imran Tahir, a former South African League spinner, and Harbhajan Singh posted a video from their commentary box when they disclosed the shocking information regarding Dhoni.
When the Chennai Super Kings squad returned in 2018 following a two-year suspension, Harbhajan Singh remarked, "I want to share a story. We all came together where the team had dinner."
"I heard many times that men do not cry, but Mahindra Singh Dhoni cried there, they became emotional, maybe people do not know," the former cricketer stated.
Speaking further about this, Imran Tahir said that I was there and that it was a very emotional time for them. From that point on, I realised how dear to their hearts this team is to them. It was an emotional experience for all of us, but their tears and dedication were very beneficial to us that year because we returned two years later and won.
Harbhajan Singh continued, "When I won the trophy and accepted the trophy, the ceremony was complete, and then everyone was wondering where Dhoni was. Dhoni went back to the hotel, and he said that Paji no longer wanted to live there, to which I responded, "Be a captain, live," to which he replied, "My job is done."
In the forthcoming IPL season, Chennai Super Kings, led by Dhoni, have won the trophy four times in 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021.
The IPL banned Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals from competing in 2016 and 2017 for match-fixing.
